Bob Eick

Bob Eick, 51, was born and raised in Connecticut, and his family has strong historical ties to the Bridgeport/Fairfield, Connecticut, community. He attended Roger Ludlowe High School, and upon graduating, he attended Boston College, graduating in 1988. After working and attending business school in New York, he moved back to Fairfield in 1989, where he lived until recently moving to Ridgefield, Connecticut. Mr. Eick has two children, Ryan and Annie.

Mr. Eick’s career in finance began with Merrill Lynch & Company after graduating from Boston College. He was one of 12 chosen for their corporate intern program, where he worked in the equity research department. From there, Mr. Eick moved to the trading department in Merrill’s Capital Markets division, and while working full time in the trading department, he attended and graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business, where he earned his MBA.

In 1993, Mr. Eick was recruited to join Greenwich Capital Markets, a small investment bank in Connecticut. He eventually rose to become a managing director at the firm, and Greenwich Capital was later acquired by National Westminster Bank and then by RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland). He specialized in fixed income securities as well as other financial instruments. Mr. Eick has served on a variety of committees with the firm and brought that expertise to start a new venture.
