Charlene Tappan

Charlene Tappan has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Charlene started their career in 1982 as an Assistant to the Senior Vice President at Landmark Financial Services, Inc. Charlene then moved on to Centerbank, where they served as an Assistant Vice President, Corporate Communications from 1987 to 1996.

In 1997, Tappan joined the University of Connecticut Foundation as the Director of Communications, a position they held until 1999. Charlene then transitioned to Manchester Community College, where they served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations from 2000 to 2022.

Tappan's next role was as the Interim Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Capital Community College, from 2019 to 2020. Charlene also worked as an Employee at the State of Connecticut and Connecticut State Community College starting in 2000.

Their final role, starting in 2023, was as the Senior Director of Strategic Marketing at Connecticut State Community College.

Charlene Tappan has a B.S. degree in Psychology from William & Mary. Charlene also has a Graduate Certificate in Publications Specialist from The George Washington University.
