Jennifer Tischer

Jennifer Tischer currently serves as the Director of Student Services at Connections Academy, providing exceptional remote learning experiences for K-12 students and collaborating with various stakeholders to manage student services under IDEA, Section 504, and McKinney-Vento, as well as overseeing professional school counseling. Previously, Tischer spent over a decade at Mount Vernon Community Schools, where contributions included founding the Alternative Education Program and serving as a Middle School Counselor and Director of Alternative Education. Additional experience includes roles as Director at the National Resilience Institute and Assistant Director and Prevention Specialist at the Area Substance Abuse Council. Tischer holds a Master of Science in Counselor Education from Buena Vista University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication Studies from the University of Iowa.
