Marie Hanna

Superintendent at Connections Academy

Marie Hanna has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Superintendent of Ohio Connections Academy since 2005, overseeing a virtual school that serves 5,200 students and manages 250 employees. Prior to this role, Marie was the Principal, beginning as an assistant principal in the same institution. Experience also includes serving as Director at Maud Booth Academy from 2002 to 2005, where Marie managed academics and operations for a community school, and as Instructional Supervisor at Riverside Academy from 1999 to 2002, focusing on teacher evaluations and instructional programs. Marie began a teaching career in 1988 as a First Grade Teacher at Houston ISD. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Xavier University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
