William S. Burns

William S. Burns is the current EVP & CFO at ConnectOne Bank. William has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry.

Burns started their career in 1980 as a Vice President at Irving Trust Company. William then moved to The Dime Savings Bank of New York in 1997 as Senior VP, Corporate Development and Investor Relations. In 2002, they became Executive VP & CFO of The Trust Company of New Jersey until it was acquired by North Fork Bank in 2004. From 2005 to 2009, they served as CFO of TenRock Capital Fund, LP. Most recently, they were Executive VP & CFO of Somerset Hills Bancorp from 2009 to 2012.

William S. Burns earned their MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and their BS in Management, cum laude, from Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management. William also attended JFK High School in Plainview, NY.
