Erica Schmidt

Erica Schmidt has extensive experience in engineering, primarily focused on electrical systems and distribution design. Currently serving as a Distribution System Engineer I at Connexus® Energy since June 2017, Erica has held roles as an Electrical Engineer and Distribution Designer. Prior experience includes an Application Engineer position at Innovent Air Handling Equipment, where responsibilities encompassed technical support and custom air handling unit design. Erica also interned in Quality Assurance with the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities, contributing to the Green Line light rail project. Early career roles include managing operations at NOvA Research Factory and working as a Student Caller and Custodial Worker at Lawrence University. Erica holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems, Smart Grid, and Electric Vehicles from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
