John Fitzgerald

John Fitzgerald is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in portfolio management. Currently, as Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Conning Asset Management, John oversees large total return-oriented portfolios for institutional clients across North America and Europe. In this role, John also contributes to the Investment Policy Committee and the ESG Steering Committee. Previously, John held senior positions in portfolio management at MacKay Shields LLC, Citibank, and BlackRock Inc., focusing on fixed income portfolios and business development. John holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Accounting from Fordham University. Academic foundation was established at Xavier High School with a Regents Diploma.
