Carys Hughes

Carys Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Carys is currently working as Senior Legal Counsel at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) since August 2021. Prior to this role, Carys worked as an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP from April 2016. Carys also served as an Associate and Trainee Solicitor at Nabarro LLP from September 2015 to March 2016 and from September 2013 to September 2015, respectively. Carys gained experience as a Legal Assistant at Shearman & Sterling LLP in 2012 and as Assistant to the President at Ritz Paris from 2011 to 2012. Carys started their career as a Project Coordinator at Enterprise UK from 2009 to 2010.

Carys Hughes completed their undergraduate education at the University of Oxford from 2003 to 2007, where they earned an MA (Oxon) degree in Modern Languages with a focus on French. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education in the field of law. In 2010, they attended the College of Law, where they obtained a GDL degree. Subsequently, in 2012, they enrolled at Kaplan Law School and completed their studies with an LPC degree.
