Joanna Lewis

Joanna Lewis has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Their most recent position is as a Specialist in Marketing at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L), which they started in June 2021. Prior to this, from April 2020 to November 2021, Joanna served as a Board of Directors Member for the Canadian Business Youth Council for Sustainable Development. In this role, they were responsible for inspiring and educating students and young professionals about sustainable business practices.

Joanna also has experience in student-led organizations. From April 2020 to May 2021, they were the Co-President of Sustainability in Business Laurier, where they led a team of 20 individuals and ensured operational effectiveness. Additionally, they were the Vice President of Corporate Relations from May 2019 to April 2020, where they developed relationships, acquired sponsorships, and led networking strategies.

In 2018, Joanna was a Project Manager for Coffee on Call, a social enterprise at Wilfrid Laurier University aiming to provide better access to coffee and snacks for students. Joanna was also a Marketing Director for Laurier EcoHawks during the same period.

Joanna's work experience includes a summer internship at Burgundy Asset Management Ltd. in the Canadian Institutional Client Group, where they conducted analyses, reviewed policies, and delivered presentations. Joanna also worked as a Licensing Clerk & Receptionist at Go Auto, where they ensured proper documentation and conducted cold calls for business development. In 2018, they worked as a Sales Associate at Golf Town.

Joanna Lewis completed their education at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University from the year 2017 to 2021. Joanna obtained an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree during this time. Additionally, Joanna has obtained three additional certifications: the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute in May 2023, the Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 Introductory certification from MyITLab in November 2018, and the Microsoft Excel 2016 Introductory certification also from MyITLab in October 2018.
