Nemer Bechara

Institutional Business Development at CC&L

Nemer Bechara has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Nemer is currently the Managing Partner at Vergent Asset Management LLP, a UK-based investment manager specializing in frontier and new emerging markets. In this role, Nemer is responsible for founding the company and overseeing global frontier and region-focused equity strategies. Prior to their current position, Nemer worked at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) as part of the Institutional Business Development team. Nemer also held the role of Director at FIM Partners from 2009 to 2017 and at Wedge Alternatives from 2005 to 2009. Nemer began their career as an Associate at Sussex Partners in 2005.

Nemer Bechara completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) at the American University of Beirut from 2000 to 2003. Nemer then pursued a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Surrey, which they completed from 2004 to 2005. In 2021, they enrolled in the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, specifically in the Stanford LEAD Program, where they are expected to complete their studies in 2022.
