Omar Faroque

Omar Faroque has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting field. In 2013, they served as a Bookkeeper/Inventory Manager for Flower Import Group, where they were responsible for financial statement preparation, order monitoring, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax filing. Omar also provided sales training to new employees. From 2017 to 2018, Omar worked as an Accounting Clerk at Southern Glazers Wines and Spirits. Starting in 2017, they joined CIBC Mellon as a Fund Accountant, where they reviewed and reconciled daily transactions and maintained balanced cash accounts. In 2018, Omar transitioned to Fengate Asset Management as a Financial Analyst, analyzing financial data and providing insights. Currently, Omar is working at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) as a Senior Accountant.

Omar Faroque completed their secondary education at Central Peel Secondary School from 2008 to 2012. Omar then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Accounting at the University of Guelph, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.
