Beatriz Gutierrez

Beatriz Gutierrez is the current President & CEO at Connstep. Prior to their work at Connstep, they served as the Executive Director of the Office of Business Development at the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development from August 2012 to November 2020. Beatriz has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Central Connecticut State University from August 2009 to May 2015, teaching courses in Consumer Behavior, Services Marketing, Marketing Strategy, and Fundamentals of Marketing. From July 2003 to December 2004, they worked as a Six Sigma, Lean Master Black Belt for Operations at Genworth Financial. In this role, they led advisory projects that provided business operations optimization, process transformation, and organization change management for a $3.5MM Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management business. Beatriz also served as the Director of Marketing for a start-up business, implementing winning brand development strategies, creating collateral for client, tradeshow, online and event marketing, and guiding new product launch for an emerging growth technology company delivering sustainable, high resolution, clean print coding system.

Beatriz Gutierrez has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Beatriz also has a degree in engineering from Marquette University.
