Jarrod Sparks

Jarrod Sparks is an accomplished professional in the petroleum engineering sector with extensive experience in reservoir management and business development. Currently, as Director of Lower 48 Strategy & Portfolio Management at ConocoPhillips since March 2021, Jarrod Sparks has a track record of evaluating acquisition and divestiture opportunities within the Permian Basin. Previously, at Concho, Jarrod Sparks played a key role as a Staff Reservoir Engineer and contributed to significant property acquisitions totaling over $2.7 billion in Howard County. Jarrod Sparks has also held various engineering positions at SM Energy Company, where responsibilities included reservoir management and decline curve analysis, and earlier internships at Marathon Oil Corporation and BHP Billiton Petroleum helped to build foundational skills in reservoir engineering. Jarrod Sparks received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2013.
