Smith Charita

Smith Charita has over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Starting as a Teacher, Interventionist, and Literacy Coach at Aldine ISD in 2001, they then moved on to become an Assistant Principal at Houston ISD in 2012. Currently, they serve as a Principal at Conroe Independent School District since July 2017, after previously holding the role of Assistant Principal from August 2015 to June 2017.

Smith Charita completed a Bachelor's degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston in 2001. Smith later pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Sam Houston State University in 2007-2008. Smith has obtained several certifications in different areas of education from the Texas Education Agency.
