Douglas Scheidt

Douglas Scheidt is a consultant and expert witness specializing in investment management regulatory matters. They served as the Associate Director and Chief Counsel in the Division of Investment Management at the US Securities and Exchange Commission from 1991 to 2018. Currently, Scheidt is a Senior Adviser at A&O Shearman and works as a consultant while also teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Howard University School of Law. They previously offered guest lectures at institutions such as Howard University, Georgetown University Law Center, and William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business. Douglas earned their JD from Drake University Law School and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
