Parth Chhaya is an experienced culinary professional with 27 years of expertise in the hospitality industry, both in India and abroad. Starting as a kitchen executive trainee with the Taj Group of Hotels, Parth advanced to chef de partie over a span of eight years before moving to East Africa to serve as a sous chef and later an executive chef at a beach resort. Parth continued to expand their skills in New Zealand through various roles in hotels, cafes, and institutional catering. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Sous Chef at the Grand Mercure Hotel, where they are part of a team focused on revitalizing the kitchen operations after a period of transition. Parth is self-employed and also the owner of Foodz Are Us, managing kitchen operations.
