Lisa Wise

Lisa Wise is a seasoned entrepreneur and activist with extensive experience in property management and community-focused initiatives. As the founder and owner of Nest DC since 2008, Lisa has championed the concept of great spaces attracting quality tenants to foster better neighborhoods. In 2020, Lisa established the birdSEED Foundation to offer downpayment grants to first-time BIPOC homebuyers, furthering a commitment to equity in housing. Lisa is also the owner and founding Flockster of Flock DC, which prioritizes people and place over profit. In 2023, Lisa became involved with Consciousness Leaders, a collective aimed at driving positive change through empathy and equity. Additional ventures include co-founding Birdwatch and Roost DC, while previous roles included Executive Director at the Center for a New American Dream and Field Manager at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Lisa holds a Master of Arts in Media Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Arizona.
