Aaron Sarnoff

Aaron Sarnoff is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in building and scaling teams and products across major technology companies. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Consensus since June 2025, Sarnoff previously held the position of Head of Engineering, Growth at Nextdoor from August 2019 to December 2024, focusing on product development for local community engagement. Prior to that, Sarnoff contributed to Facebook from August 2011 to August 2019 as Head of Growth, Engagement, & Emerging Markets Engineering for Messenger, where expertise in metrics-driven growth and team culture development was established. Sarnoff began a career as a Software Engineer at Facebook, growing the Android team and working on early Messenger features. Earlier roles include positions at Tapulous, IncentAlign, and internships at Sony Pictures Imageworks, all of which provided foundational experience in software development and project management. Aaron Sarnoff holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University (2007-2011).
