George Lawton

George Lawton is an experienced professional with a strong background in business development, compliance, and privacy management. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida since March 2021, Lawton previously held key roles including Privacy Officer in Business Risk & Compliance at Deluxe Corporation from May 2008 to May 2015, and various leadership positions in business development and compliance at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. between May 1995 and May 2008. Earlier in the career, Lawton worked at Deluxe Corporation from 1983 to 1995, focusing on sales, training, and business development. Lawton earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, graduating in 1983.
