Jennifer Howard serves as Vice President and Senior Director at Conservation International since September 2013, focusing on innovative mechanisms to conserve coastal and marine ecosystems for climate change mitigation and resilience of coastal communities. Howard leads the global blue carbon portfolio, establishing carbon finance schemes for long-term conservation funding. Previous roles include Marine Climate Change Manager at Conservation International, an AAAS Fellow at NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Maryland, with a strong background in reproductive physiology and conservation. Howard holds a Ph.D. in Physiology of Reproduction from Texas A&M University and a B.S. in Animal Science from Clemson University.
