Peter Bermant

Peter Bermant is a Machine Learning Engineer at Sarama, focusing on building AI to better understand how dogs communicate with humans. Prior to this, Peter has held roles such as Computational Scientist and Research Assistant in various organizations, including Lucky Penny Publications, Colossal Biosciences, and the University of Utah. Peter has a background in developing machine learning-based systems for earthquake detection, analyzing whale bioacoustic signals, and decoding non-human communication using AI technology. Currently, Peter serves as a Senior ML Engineer III at Conservation X Labs, applying ML-based technology to prevent the sixth mass extinction.
