Laura Smith is an experienced communications professional with a focus on public relations within the education and not-for-profit sectors. Currently serving as Director at Consilium Communications since September 2012, Laura Smith leads initiatives that integrate strategic leadership and creative approaches to enhance clients' profiles. Previously, Laura Smith was the Head of Press and PR at The Communication Trust, where efforts included the national Hello campaign to prioritize communication development for children and young people. Laura Smith also held the position of Head of Media and Campaigns at I CAN Children's Communication Charity, where a significant campaign, Make Chatter Matter, raised awareness on communication issues. Laura Smith began the career with a role as Press and PR Assistant at BBC Worldwide following education at Bournemouth University, where a BA Honours in Public Relations was earned. Prior educational achievements include A Levels from Worthing Sixth Form College with notable grades in Business Studies, Performing Arts, and Sociology.
