Jim Vance

Jim Vance is an experienced electrical engineer currently employed at Consolidated Engineering Company since October 2021, with plans to retire in 2024. Vance specializes in PLC and HMI design integration and programming using Rockwell automation software applications, alongside electrical design proficiency in AutoCAD. Prior to this role, Vance worked at Skaltek, Inc. from December 2004 to April 2020 as a Member of Technical Staff, contributing to customer engagement, project proposals, equipment layouts, machine programming, and technical support. Additional experience includes managing installation and maintenance of swimming pool monitoring systems at Poseidon Technologies, LLC. (May 2003 - July 2004), and generating electrical schematics for optical fiber manufacturing machines at OFS (formerly AT&T or Lucent Technologies) from May 1993 to January 2003. Vance holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Kentucky and an Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering from RETS Electronic Institute.
