Lisa Thyer

Lisa Thyer has extensive experience in education, currently serving as an English Teacher at Consolidated High School District 230 since August 2006, where responsibilities include teaching junior and senior-level English courses and contributing to various committees. Additionally, Lisa Thyer is an adjunct instructor at Moraine Valley Community College, imparting dual-credit Composition 101. From June 2020 to July 2022, Lisa Thyer worked as a Senior Policy Fellow for Teach Plus, focusing on leveraging teacher influence in educational policy to enhance equity and student outcomes. Lisa Thyer holds a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in the same field from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
