Benjamin Mortensen

Benjamin Mortensen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Benjamin started as a Shuttle Driver at Utah State University from August 2006 to December 2008, where they provided excellent customer service and ensured safe transport of students and faculty.

Benjamin then worked as a TOROID Test Engineer - Power Subsystem at Utah State University from September 2008 to February 2009.

After that, Benjamin joined Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems as an Electrical Engineer Intern from June 2010 to April 2011. Here, they contributed to the creation of a large wireless mesh network for missile site surveillance and conducted failure analysis.

Following their internship, they joined Inovar, Inc. in May 2011 as a Test Engineer. In this role, they created and maintained electronics test solutions, optimized tests for lean manufacturing processes, and worked in a team to increase yield and customer satisfaction. Benjamin then transitioned to the role of an Electrical Design Engineer from June 2012 to August 2018. Here, they worked in a multi-disciplined team to design and optimize electrical components and contributed to key metrics of quote accuracy and on-time delivery.

Currently, Benjamin is working at Consolidated Metco as an Electrical Design Engineer, starting in August 2018 and continuing to the present. Benjamin has recently been promoted to Lead Electrical Design Engineer as of June 2022.

Benjamin Mortensen attended Utah State University from 2005 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering.
