Jason Trichel

Director, Internal Audit, Ethics & Employee Concerns at Consolidated Nuclear Security

Jason Trichel is the director of Internal Audit, Ethics and Employee Concerns for Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC, the management and operating contractor for the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, and the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In this role, he leads internal audit, which provides an independent assurance and advisory function to management, and helps CNS accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the risk management, control, and governance processes. He also leads the team that handles all CNS ethics and business conduct concerns, providing a work environment where employees and subcontractors are free to raise issues, concerns, and questions without fear of retaliation.

Previously, Trichel managed internal audit and enterprise risk management for Hunt Consolidated, Inc., one of the largest privately held companies in the United States engaged in oil and gas exploration and production, refining, power, real estate, investments, and other ventures. In that role, he worked collaboratively with management to evaluate risk across the organization and to develop and execute an annual risk-based audit plan.

Trichel has 15 years of work experience in the manufacturing, construction, pharmaceutical, retail, and hospitality industries.

Trichel holds a B.S. in accounting and a B.S. in criminal justice from Louisiana State University.
