Bengt Ormegard

Bengt Ormegard has extensive work experience in various roles within the IT industry. Bengt started their career at Televerket as a System Manager and Consultant. Bengt then worked at Stockholms Optionsmarknad as a System Manager VMS and Deputy IT Operations Manager, where they were responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing marketplace systems. Bengt also gained experience in international sales support and training. Bengt later joined Hongkong Future Exchange as On-site Support, overseeing the delivery and operation of a marketplace system.

Bengt then worked at Stockholms Optionsmarknad again, this time as a Software Support Manager, responsible for customer support, vendor management, and agreements. Bengt also served as the Site Manager at the Australian Stock Exchange, leading the installation, training, and support of a marketplace system. At OM Technology, Bengt held the roles of Vice President Facility Management Services and Manager Business Management, overseeing IT operations, customer engagements, and procurement.

During their time at NASDAQ, Bengt served as Vice President of Product Marketing, Services, and later as Associate Vice President of Business Development. Bengt played a key role in business development, strategic planning, and supporting major sales cases. Bengt also worked as a Product Director and Solution Design, building an organization for creating solutions and bid documents.

At Sigma IT Consulting, Bengt held several roles, including Head of Service Delivery, Manager Business Operation, and Senior Service Manager. Bengt was responsible for managing teams and departments, IT outsourcing services, and IT service management.

Currently, Bengt works at Consolis as the Head of IT Support. Bengt'sresponsibilities include leading the IT support team and overseeing IT infrastructure, procurement, and processes. Bengt has been involved in various projects such as IT outsourcing, datacenter consolidations, and IT organizational restructure.

Throughout their career, Bengt Ormegard has gained extensive experience in IT management, project management, change leadership, and service delivery.

Bengt Ormegard completed their Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with a specialization in computer systems, from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Bengt attended the institution from 1982 to 1987.

In 1999, Bengt pursued further education at Stockholm School of Economics, where they completed a program in Strategy and Finance. The specific field of study for this program was Civilingenjörsprogrammet.

In 2001, they attended Stockholm School of Economics again, this time completing a program in Management and Finance, earning the IF-FL (General Management) degree.

Bengt also briefly studied at the Swedish Army from 1985 to 1986, earning the designation of Quarter Master.

Additionally, they hold a black belt (shodan) in wadokai karate, which they obtained in 2014.

Bengt Ormegard has also obtained certifications such as Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in March 2017 and ITIL Foundation in May 2005. However, the institution from which they obtained the ITIL Foundation certification is not specified.
