Zina Schwartz

EVP, Traffic at CONSOR Engineers

Zina has more than 20 years of experience in the traffic and transportation engineering field. A two-year internship at TxDOT’s Advanced Planning Section in Austin steered her towards a career in traffic engineering. After graduation, Zina worked in Virginia as a traffic engineer before returning home to Houston in 1997. Zina’s professional experience includes all aspects of the traffic and transportation engineering field from traffic signal design and signing and pavement markings to traffic control and illumination plans. Her experience includes operational analyses for the evaluation of alternative roadway improvements. Over the last 20 years, Zina has worked to start and grow the traffic engineering group at the firm. She started as the sole traffic engineer and now manages the traffic engineering group in offices across the United States and Canada. On any given day, you will find Zina mentoring engineers, CAD professionals, or administrative staff; furthering CONSOR Engineers’ business development outreach; managing countless projects as both prime and/or subprovider; and still finding time for professional organizations and community service. Zina worked as a roustabout in an oil field the summer after her freshman year of college.
