Carla Wade has over 30 years of work experience in the education field. Carla began their career in 1988 as the Curriculum and Instruction Manager at Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). In 1992, they moved to Centennial School District as a Middle School Science Teacher and Science, Math, Technology Professional Development. In 2000, they joined the Oregon Department of Education as the Digital Innovations Lead, where they coordinated Statewide Digital Learning, Oregon Virtual School District Content and Resources and Indistar for School and District Improvement Planning. In 2018, they were appointed as the Interim Director of Data, Operations and Grants Management at the Oregon Department of Education. Currently, they are the Senior Director of External Relations at Consortium for School Networking (CoSN).
Carla Wade attended Lewis & Clark College from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained an Adm. license in Educational Leadership. Carla then attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1973 to 1979, where they earned a MS in Park and Recreation Administration.
