Susanne Connors-Bowman, CAE

Susanne Connors-Bowman, CAE has been working in the professional world since 1982. Susanne started their career at AARP, where they held three positions with increasing levels of responsibility, culminating in the role of Director of Insurance Services. In 1997, they became co-owner of The Haefer Group, Ltd., a company which provides value to clients by providing them with an honest assessment of their current challenge(s) and uniquely crafted recommendations for change. In 2016, Susanne moved to the Construction Specifications Institute, where they served as Director of Marketing & Membership. During their tenure at CSI, they helped to turn the organization around from a 15 year decline in membership to a stable base. Susanne also led the team that revamped all of their digital properties, including developing a website and launching it in just under 6 months. In 2017, Susanne began their current role as Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN).

Susanne Connors-Bowman, CAE, obtained their Bachelor of Music (BM) degree from West Virginia University between 1975 and 1977. Susanne then obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in marketing from the University of Maryland between 1983 and 1985. In June 2015, they obtained their Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership.
