Long Tran

Long Tran has a diverse work experience in data engineering and data science. Long was employed by Constanter as a Lead Data Engineer starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Transactie Monitoring Nederland (TMNL) as a Senior Data Engineer from October 2021 to August 2023. At TMNL, they built data pipelines for large transactional data using AWS Cloud Services and PySpark.

Before TMNL, Long Tran worked at Wolters Kluwer as a Lead Data Engineer for Customer Analytics Platform from March 2021 to September 2021. Long built an Azure-native data platform for Customer Analytics and implemented ETL data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.

Long Tran also has experience as a Data Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer at Entis from January 2019 to December 2020. Long worked on R&D in Factor Investing and built NLP ETL pipelines for large datasets. Long also conducted data quality assessments and developed modules for detecting and raising data quality exceptions.

Furthermore, Long Tran served as a Data Scientist Intern at ZyLAB from February 2018 to August 2018, where they worked on a project using gradient tree boosting and a Deep Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Network.

Prior to ZyLAB, Long Tran had internships and teaching assistant roles at Radboud University Nijmegen, where they worked as a Data Scientist Intern at CLEF-NewsREEL and as a Teaching Assistant for Data Mining and Combinatorics.

Long Tran also has experience in competitions, serving as a Competitions Expert at Kaggle from November 2016 to January 2018. Long achieved top rankings in Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision competitions.

Long began their professional career as a C# .NET Developer at NewYork Center from September 2014 to July 2016.

Long Tran holds a Master's degree in Computing Science - Data Science from Radboud University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science - Database from Ho Chi Minh City Open University. The certifications were obtained between 2016 and 2020.
