Rafael Augusto Steffen

Rafael Augusto Steffen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Rafael Augusto started their career in 2000 as a Quality Control Analyst at OX Cosméticos and later became the Owner of RR Oxidation in 2004. In 2007, they worked as a Doctoral Researcher at FUNCAMP before joining BASF as a Senior Researcher in 2011. Steffen then moved on to SOLVAY, where they served as a Research And Development Manager and later as a Project And Process Manager. Rafael Augusto joined Oxiteno as a Senior Researcher in 2016 before transitioning to GPC Química S/A, where they held positions as a Research And Development Coordinator and eventually became the Research And Development Manager. Currently, Steffen is working at Constant as the Director of Research and Development since 2024, following their role as New Business Development in the same company from 2022 to 2024. Throughout their career, they have been involved in various projects, including technology transfer, restructuring departments, facility modernization, and portfolio diversification, contributing to the growth and success of the companies they have worked for.

Rafael Augusto Steffen earned their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas between 2000 and 2003. Rafael Augusto then pursued their Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry at Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2004 to 2007. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2007 to 2011.
