Joseph Bernhardt

Joseph Bernhardt is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in nuclear engineering. Currently serving as Reactor Engineering Manager and previously as Nuclear Fuels Engineer at Constellation since March 2016, Joseph has worked extensively in the Spent Fuel group. Prior to this role, Joseph held various engineering positions, including Nuclear Safety Engineer and Mechanical Engineer at Bechtel Corporation, where support was provided for the Hanford Tank Waste Treatment Project. Joseph's early career included leading engineering efforts on the Spent Fuel Pool Cooling system for the Generation mPower Project at Bechtel Power Corporation. Academic experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant and Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Joseph focused on radiation effects in nuclear materials. Joseph holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Plasma, and Radiological Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
