Matt Wharton

Matt Wharton, CPA has extensive work experience in financial reporting and accounting. Matt is currently working at Constellation Insurance, Inc. as the Director of Financial Reporting. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Financial Reporting Analyst at Ohio National Financial Services. Before joining Ohio National Financial Services, Matt worked as a Senior Accountant at Makino. Matt also has experience as a Comptroller at Value Auto Auction, where they were responsible for financial data management and reporting, as well as front office operations supervision. Earlier in their career, Matt served as the Operations Support Manager at Orme Hardware Co., where they provided support to store managers, managed marketing efforts, and handled various administrative tasks. Matt also worked at Wells Fargo Financial as a Processor and Credit Manager, and at Do it Best Corp. as a Project Leader, where they supported national sales efforts and led conversion and remerchandising projects. Throughout their career, Matt has consistently demonstrated strong financial and analytical skills.

Matt Wharton, CPA has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from Ohio University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. Matt also holds a Certified Public Accountant Preparation Certificate from Muskingum University, earned in 2010 to 2011. In 2022 to 2023, Matt obtained a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree in Accounting and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics, both from Ohio University. Matt has additional certifications including Ethical Leadership Certification from NASBA Center for the Public Trust (obtained in 2023), Data Analysis Fundamentals Certificate from AICPA (obtained in 2019), and CPA certification from the Accountancy Board Of Ohio, acquired in December 2018.
