James Aman

James Aman, PhD, is a protocol engineer at Constellation Network, starting in August 2023. Previously, James served as a Teaching Professor at Rice University from January 2020 to January 2024, where courses included an in-depth exploration of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology, as well as the role of blockchains as digital infrastructure. James founded and acted as Chief Technology Officer at Topl from March 2017 to March 2023, overseeing the development of the Topl protocol. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Technology Officer at Corporate Partners in Education, managing technology platform development, and database administrator at St. Pius X High School. James holds a PhD in Atomic/Molecular Physics from Rice University, where studies included a thesis on two-photon photoassociative spectroscopy of strontium-86. Additional academic achievements include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in related fields from Rice University.
