Daniel Sánchez Ortega has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Daniel began their career as an Internship Trainee at Amper Sistemas, S.A., Bosch, and Airbus. Daniel then joined SepsaMedha S.L.U. as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for the design and manufacture of Railway Electromechanical Systems.
After that, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Indra Systems, where they focused on defining functional, safety, and maintenance requirements for the Air Traffic Radar electromechanical system. Daniel also had responsibilities for implementation and testing for product certification.
Daniel then moved to Knorr-Bremse as a Software Engineer and Project Manager, before joining CAF Rail Services as the Head of Data&Analytics. In this role, they led a team of 16 data professionals and was responsible for managing the Data Products/Services Portfolio and driving technological evolution.
Daniel later transitioned to CAF Digital Services, where they became the Chief Data Analytics Officer. In this role, they led a team of over 30 data professionals and owned the complete lifecycle of Data & Analytics Products. Daniel also co-led the CAF Group Digitization Center of Excellence, focusing on developing and governing the Corporate Data Strategy.
Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in data analytics, and a focus on driving innovation and cost savings through technology.
Daniel Sánchez Ortega's education history includes a certification in "Gobierno y Estrategia del Dato" from IE Business School Executive Education, which they are currently pursuing. Daniel obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Electronics and Automation, from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Electronics and Automation, at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1999 to 2003.
