Scott Fitzgerald has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1992, they worked as an Engineering Technician at Construction Materials Laboratory for eight years. In 2000, Fitzgerald became a Partner at Foundation Systems Engineering, P.C., and also took on the role of President at Protection Farms, a family farming operation, in 2001. Additionally, they started their own business, Fitzgerald Angus Farms, also in 2001. In 2013, Fitzgerald became the President of F & L Firearms, LLC, a retail sales company specializing in guns and ammunition. Most recently, in 2016, they became a Partner at Construction Materials Laboratory.
Scott Fitzgerald attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Additionally, they received several certifications throughout their career, including the Tennessee Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control certification from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation in May 2015, the Helical Torque Anchor Tieback Design and Helical Soil Nails certifications from Earth Contact Products in January 2008, and the Hydraulic Safety certification from Earth Contact Products in January 2008. In June 1998, they obtained the 40-Hour Site Worker certification from The University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services.
