Ping Zhang

Ping Zhang has held various roles in the engineering industry since 2012. In 2012, they were the Mechanical Lead for the University of Waterloo Electric Motorsports. In 2013, they were the Powertrain Co-Lead for the University of Waterloo Formula Hybrid SAE and the Lexus Quality Control for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. In 2014, they were a Research Assistant for the University of Waterloo. In 2015, they completed their MASc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. In 2018, they were a Product Development Specialist for P&P Optica. In 2020, they were a System Design Engineering (TPM) for ATS Automation. In 2021, they were a Senior System Design Engineering (TPM) for Clearpath Inc., where they managed product requirements, wrote product test plans, tested to ANSI B56.1, B56.5 and ISO 3691-4, improved the upper thermal threshold of the robot by 14 Degrees C, and performed software testing, troubleshooting and bug identification for internal and external version releases. Currently, Ping is a Product Manager for Constructor and a Co-Founder for UW Consulting.

Ping Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2015, following their studies from 2010 to 2015. Ping then went on to pursue a Masters of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, which they completed in 2017.
