Ilya Baimetov

Ilya Baimetov has a diverse work experience starting in 2003 when they worked as a Program Manager for Microsoft in the Enterprise Management Division. During their time there, they collaborated with over 50 Windows component teams and designed and implemented web-based applications.

In 2006, Baimetov joined Odin as the Director of Technology for Cloud Computing. In this role, they defined vision, strategy, and business models for IaaS and server virtualization. Ilya also managed the implementation of APS 2.0 and APS marketplace in Odin Automation.

After leaving Odin in 2014, Baimetov joined Microsoft again as a Senior Technical Program Manager/Architect. Ilya'smain achievements included leading the program of automating Regional Network Gateway deployments and defining the vision and requirements for an end-to-end WAN configuration automation platform.

Baimetov then joined Acronis in 2017 as the Director of Technology in the CEO's office. Ilya'sresponsibilities in this role are not specified.

Most recently, Baimetov became the Chief Product Officer at Alemira in 2019. Ilya is responsible for the product and strategy leadership for the Alemira product family, including products like Alemira Learning, Alemira Administration, and Alemira Communities. Ilya is also involved in defining product visions for Constructor School and SIT Rolos platform.

Ilya Baimetov studied at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT). Ilya obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and applied math. Following their undergraduate education, they pursued a Master of Science degree in applied math and computer science at the same institution.
