Barry Brown has extensive work experience in the construction and engineering industry. Barry has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 1982 with Bechtel Power Corporation as a Construction Engineer. Barry then moved on to the Arizona Department of Transportation, where they worked as a Resident Engineer overseeing various construction projects. In 1996, they joined the City of Phoenix as a Civil Engineer II. From 1997 to 2007, Barry worked for the Arizona Department of Transportation as a Senior Project Manager and Senior Resident Engineer, managing statewide projects and evaluating the need for interchange improvements. Since 2007, they have been with Consultant Engineering, Inc., initially serving as the Senior Vice President Construction and currently as the President. In their current role, Barry handles administrative duties, oversees the company's operations, and continues to actively work as a construction civil engineer on multiple assignments. Their expertise lies in construction administration of civil transportation projects, dam/levee construction management contracts, and aviation projects.
Barry Brown pursued their education in a chronological order, starting with their high school education at Rincon High School from 1970 to 1974, where they received their high school diploma. After completing high school, they attended Pima Community College from 1977 to 1979, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Engineering. Subsequently, from 1979 to 1981, Barry attended the University of Arizona, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering.
