Yangxi (Sophie) Zheng currently serves as the Vice President of Finance and Communication for the Consulting Club at the Texas Medical Center, where responsibilities include securing sponsorship for an annual case competition and collaborating with prominent consulting clubs. At the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Yangxi holds multiple roles, including Project Leader, Consultant, and Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on licensing inquiries from biotech firms and conducting background research. As a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Sciences, Yangxi actively participates in the Association of Science Communication, managing finances and hosting workshops. Previous experience includes a graduate role at UTHealth Houston and leadership positions at Chongqing Medical University, where Yangxi enhanced campus activities and coordinated major events.

The Consulting Club at the Texas Medical Center is an independent Houston-based nonprofit organization with two main goals: 1) Educate our members about the consulting career track and increase its awareness 2) Train our members to become competitive applicants and land job offers at the top consulting firms. Our 400+ active members comprise of PhD students, medical students, postdocs and residents from nearly every institution at the Texas Medical Center which include Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University, MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth, and many others.
