Gowrisankar Arthanari (GSA) is an experienced structural engineer with a focus on major urban transit projects. Currently serving as General Manager at Consulting Engineers Group Ltd. since October 2018, GSA leads the team engaged in the Chennai Metro Phase II Project, specifically overseeing the detailed design for elevated stations and viaducts. Prior experience includes senior roles at Mott MacDonald, where GSA contributed to the Rapid Metro Project and DFCC Railway Project, as well as engineering management at Larsen & Toubro for Mumbai and Riyadh metro projects. With a strong foundation in structural design from previous positions at Mott MacDonald and STUP Consultants, GSA holds an MTech in Structural Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and an Engineer’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Kongu Engineering College.
