Lousewies van der Laan

Lousewies Van der Laan is an experienced leader in governance, law, and international relations, currently serving as Chairman of the Board at Consumentenbond since November 2021 and Executive Director at Transparency International Nederland since October 2020. Van der Laan founded LW International in 2007, providing strategic consultancy to various sectors focused on politics, human rights, and international justice until 2020. Previous roles include non-executive Board Member at Rabobank Regio Den Haag, Member of the International Board of Directors at ICANN, Vice-President of the ALDE Party, and Head of Cabinet for the President of the International Criminal Court. Van der Laan has a robust educational background, including a Master of Law from Leiden University, a diploma from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and several certificates in international law and language studies.
