Stephen Nowicki

Stephen Nowicki is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in public service and legal practice. Currently serving as the Director of Legal Practice at the Consumer Action Law Centre since October 2021, Nowicki has a background that includes significant leadership roles such as Manager of Monitoring and Compliance at the Department of Education and Training - Victoria, and Director at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic). Previous positions held also include Assistant Ombudsman at the Victorian Ombudsman, acting Director and Senior Investigation Officer at the Commonwealth Ombudsman, and solicitor roles at various organizations including the Noongar Land Council. Nowicki holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Western Australia, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne.
