Andy Stadnik

Director Laboratory Sciences Directorate at Consumer Product Safety Commission

Andy Stadnik has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andy started their career in 1982 as a Lieutenant in the US Navy at Naval Reactors. From 1987 to 1990, they worked as a Program Manager at Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne. Andy then transitioned to the role of Assistant Technical Director at DNFSB and Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board from 1990 to 1995. Andy joined the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in 1995, serving as the Associate Executive Director for Engineering Sciences until 2001. Andy later became the Director of Laboratory Sciences Directorate at the same organization starting in 2001. In addition to their professional work, Andy also took on leadership roles in various organizations such as Classics Basketball, Potomac Valley AAU, Cub Scout Pack 1306, and Troop 1449.

Andy Stadnik obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Andy then pursued further education at Cornell University from 1981 to 1982 and earned a Masters of Engineering degree in Nuclear Science and Engineering.
