Rik Khanna is a seasoned Fire Protection Engineer with extensive experience in the field of fire safety. Since 1994, Rik has been with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, where responsibilities include planning, directing, and executing fire safety analyses for consumer product fire hazard reduction projects, encompassing both regulatory and voluntary standards development as well as compliance and enforcement activities. Prior to this role, Rik served as a Fire Protection Engineer at National Fire Protection, Inc. from February 1996 to 2002. Rik holds a Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, earned between 1989 and 1994.
