Yeon Seok Kim

YEON SEOK KIM is a seasoned General Engineer at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission since April 2016, with prior experience as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where responsibilities included managing research projects and lab practices. Notable achievements include advancing environment-friendly coatings for fire resistance in soft fabrics and foams. KIM also served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M University, contributing to an ARMY-funded project on Kevlar® degradation, and has a rich background as a Graduate Research Assistant focused on polymer nanocomposites. KIM holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Master's degree from Purdue University, and a Bachelor's degree from Chung-Ang University.
