Eric Monte

Eric Monte is a Senior Engineer at Consumers Energy since January 2021, focusing on fault analysis for 46kV lines and responding to real-time events. Previously, Eric served as an Electrical Engineer 1 at Black & Veatch from May 2018 to December 2020, working on protection, relay, and controls projects, including 345kV breaker replacements. Prior engineering experience includes roles at Dashiell Corporation as an Engineering Intern, Premier Power Maintenance as an Engineering Co-op, and Wisconsin Public Service as a Special Projects Intern. Eric began a career in engineering with a Jumper Studies Student Intern position at DTE Energy. Eric holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from Michigan Technological University.
