Joe Slat

Joe Slat is an experienced supply chain professional with a strong background in procurement and supply management. Currently serving as a Supply Chain Category Manager and Electric and Gas Distribution Lead at Consumers Energy since July 2009, Joe leads a team of Procurement Analysts to ensure timely availability of materials and services for electrical and gas distribution throughout Michigan. Joe's previous role as a Procurement Analyst involved supplier evaluation and product procurement for electric generation facilities in the state. Before Consumers Energy, Joe worked as a Sr. Buyer at Michigan Automotive Compressor, focusing on direct materials, project management, and sourcing. Joe holds a BA in Integrated Supply Management from Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business, earned between 1997 and 2000.
