Matthew Rife

Matthew Rife, C.E.M., is a Senior Analyst for Evaluation, Measurement & Verification at Consumers Energy, where responsibilities include evaluating the performance of demand side management programs, conducting research for improvements, and managing a substantial EM&V portfolio. Previous experience includes roles as an Associate Advisor at Global Environmental Consulting, where Matthew conducted analyses for UN projects, and as a Student Research Consultant for Great Lakes Wind Collaborative, leading research on offshore wind development perceptions. Matthew has also interned for MAKE Consulting, various language academies, the Michigan House of Representatives, and the Lenawee County Solid Waste Department, showcasing a strong background in environmental and sustainability studies. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from Adrian College, supplemented by studies at the University of Oxford.
